on Sunday, 12TH October 2025, Nessuit Healthcare Training College, in partnership with PCEA Church- Kinoo, carried out a successful community wellness check at church grounds. The exercise focused on screening vital signs including; blood pressure, blood glucose, Oxygen saturation, Body Mass Index, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate as an entry point to preventive healthcare.

The response from the congregation and surrounding community was overwhelming. More than 60 individuals were attended to, ranging from young adults to the elderly. Many participants expressed gratitude, noting that this was the first time they had their vital signs checked outside of a hospital setting. For some, the simple act of having their blood pressure measured became an eye-opening experience that encouraged them to think more seriously about their health.

The students of Nessuit Healthcare Training College played a central role in the day’s success. Under the guidance of their trainers, they demonstrated clinical skill, empathy, and professionalism while engaging warmly with every person. Their presence not only provided a learning opportunity but also reassured community members that the future of healthcare is in caring and competent hands.

The church leadership commended the initiative, highlighting how such collaborations bridge the gap between faith and health by nurturing both body and spirit. Smiles, words of appreciation, and even heartfelt prayers marked the close of the event, leaving the community healthier and more informed.

This activity reaffirmed Nessuit Healthcare Training College’s mission of extending healthcare beyond classrooms and hospitals, making it accessible, preventive, and human-centered. It was more than a wellness check. It was a reminder that small steps, taken together, can build stronger, healthier communities.
